Hey all!
Well, this time you really must have thought me MIA... I still need a lot of rest, but i did manage some scrapping. And to make it up to you all (and as promised in my previous post) i have a surprise for you!
But first: as Lord Tim of Holtz is proposing all those delicious new stain colors, i thought it time to make some storage for the first 12 ones. I made a little box that really looks like a box of chocolates (yummi! ) for stains.
As usual, i started with 1/16 inch cardboard, glued it together and reinforced the edges with gummed kraft (big thanks to our national popo aka Lalaith for making me at peace again with gommed kraft!) . I covered the box with Lord Tim's kraft resist colorised with wild honey stain (of course).
All stamps and embellishements are Lord Tim's stuff: grungeblock, grungeboard cut with movers and shapers, idea-ology, colorised using mostly stains (wild honey, peeled paint, forest moss, dusty concord), some dabber (black, gold, copper), some alcohol ink (ginger, caramel) and i bit of distress ink (walnut stain, dusty concord, wild honey).
I used a rubber band to keep the box closed, on the back i fixed it between two washers with a long fastener.
I told you last time i wanted to thank you all for the (now) 104 members and 100 subscriptions to my newsletter!! I came up with this: how about the opportunity of winning one of those box of chocolates for your stains? All you have to do is leave a comment! The winner will be picked using the 'true random number generator', as every comment is numbered. So, go for it and let me know you came by! Good luck!
Bonne chance!
PS: the how to and dimensions for this box will be up in a couple of days.
