Stampotique challenge! SDC 156

Hi lovely all!
I have the pleasure of hosting this week's Stampotique Designer challenge! Yay! And in that context, I have a confession: I, France Papillon, am a bookworm. Twilight, Harry Potter, Divergent, Jane Austen's novels,Lord of the Rings, ... I. Love. Books. No doubt there are a lot of other bookworms among our lovely Stampotiquers.
I would like to know about your favorite books. So my challenge for you, should you accept it, is to create a piece, inspired by your favorite book. Let the story, the title, the cover, a quote inspire you! Now you might have a problem choosing your all time favorite book. Don't worry, it's not like you are writing it in stone, just pick one. Or maybe your problem is that you don't like reading at all. Here is how to cheat: go for your favorite movie based on a book, we won't tell ;)))

Those familiar with the Divergent series should recognize a couple of elements from the books in this spread! I used a whole bunch of Stampotique stamps:

'Otto' #7415 - Amy Wilson Wellenstein
'Typewriter Alpha' #10018 - France Papillon
'Splattered Mug' #10017 - France Papillon
'French Journal Page' #10015 - France papillon

I hope I'll see a lot of you join us for this challenge: you just might be the winner of the $30 vouch certificate in Stampotique stamps and I will have a whole bunch of new books to discover! See you on the Stampotique Designer challenge blog!

  6. Wonderful color on your page! I really liked Divergent too, but not Insurgent as much; haven't read Allegiant yet. Great challenge theme this week, France!

  7. A couple of years ago we moved from our house to an RV fulltime to travel. I got rid of a lot of my books and used ebooks. Now, we're back in a house and I'm going to have to hunt down some older books to use for things like this. Beautiful work France...as usual.

  15. This is a fantastic challenge! I love all of the books you listed and have read them all! I am now reading The Mortal Instruments series, the first book being 'The City of Bones' five books in all. I am reading them for my second time. (There are a few things in the book I kind of ignore as it is modern as far as some of the 'moral' implications which are actually true to life, but which I am not into). Otherwise, the story line keeps you wanting more. I am a total bookworm. Books feed my artistic and creative muse.
Your style is modern/futuristic and totally your own, I am very inspired by it!
    Thanks for the challenge!

  17. This was a great challenge, France, and I found it a wonderful opportunity to create a very special wedding anniversary card for my husband! Your inspiration piece is absolutely beautiful with its vintage color palette, loads (and loads) of texture, just the right image, and a quote that stopped me dead still! How true! How very, very true.
