Hi all!
Get ready to play with your stamps and... with your washi tapes!! We're having a new Stampotique Designer challenge and this week's host, sweet Astrid, is challenging us to use some washi tape. Now how fun is that? So much fun, i just had to cover my whole spread!!

I used 3 Stampotique stamps:

J'ai utilisé 3 tampons Stampotique:

'Chicken' #6169 - Daniel Torrente
'Super Hero Text' #12013 - Linda Peterson
'Design Cube' #10012 - France Papillon  :)

Jump over to the Stampotique Designer challenge blog for more inspiration for the design team and dive into your stamps to play along, you can use any stamps you have. Who knows, you might be our next winner of the $30 gift certificate in Stampotique stamps!

This is how i created the background: i started by covering the whole spread with Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.

After stamping stars with my Design Cube and Tarnished Brass Distress Stain, i covered it up with clear gesso to secure everything down.

I applied Dylusions color with a make up sponge and added some splatters of water.

Have a happy day xx

Passez une belle journée xx

  5. I've got rolls and rolls of the tissue tape and a small journal. Thanks for the inspiration - great ideas! You always create such beautiful work!

  6. Hi, France! I keep buying washi tape (as well as making it!), but I seem to only use it occasionally to "anchor" my images! I love the idea of covering the whole page with washi tape. It is so popular here in the U.S. that a store has used it in one of their TV commercials! How fun is that?! Off to check out the SDC!

  7. Gorgeous France, love to see how you made it. Happy Birthday to you xx

  8. Prachtig! Geweldige kleuren ook!

  9. Love the colours, the stamp, the sentiment and the fabric you put the words on. Love it, France !

  12. I am afraid I am repeating myself France, but this is just gorgeous, Bravo! xx

  13. I finally did another journal spread!! Thanks for the inspiration - I posted it to the Stampotique challenge but forgot to add the challenge #. I guess I should try again!

  14. A question, France! How did you manage to keep the stamped stars from moving around as you gessoed? I find that even that much "liquid" wetness makes the distress ink smear. Any ideas? I'd love to be able to stamp with my distress ink more often...

Thanks for your kind words, they're a real encouragement to me! :)
