Stampotique challenge! SDC 116 and DT CALL!

Hi all!
Yep, like the title says: Stampotique is having a Design Team Call! So, my making for this week's challenge, which is to try out a new technique, will also be my entry for my re-application as Designer.
If you're following me on my Journal on Monday adventure, you'll have seen this week's video where i started my art journaling page. Now you'll understand why i couldn't show you the rest of it! Here goes nothing:

Voici:

I used 3 Stampotique stamps on this page:

'Tingly Itchiness' #6172 - Daniel Torrente
'Carousel' #10014 - France Papillon :)
'Designer Cube' #10012 - France Papillon :)

The new technique i used (i luuuuuuurve new techniques!), is to use the new White Linen Dylusions Ink Spray as a white wash on certain portions of the drawing. To do so, i applied it over the colorized tag, using a fine wet paint brush. I love how it turned out, so i will use this over and over and over again! ;)

But, like i said: this is also my submission for my re-application as Designer for Stampotique. And for that i need to anwer two questions:
I think my creative style has never been better described than by Leandra Franich: tidy grunge! The combination of a distressed look with a soft grungy touch is my trademark. And heaven is if i can add a piece of vintage or rusty embellishment.

As to the why i want to stay on the team: in the first place because i'm a fan of the designs of the stamps of course: you won't find anything like those anywhere else. To me, they simply work perfectly with my creative style. But also because it is a great family to be part of, a family that motivates me to make them proud of their products, which as side effect makes us both grow.

While writing this, i realize i've been a member of the Stampotique family for over a year now and this has been the best time ever. I just don't want it to stop. Please don't make me an orphan ;)

If you think the Stampotique family might be one for you, check out all the details about the Design Team call here. Like my journaling says:

doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.

So, go for it!! Otherwise: just come and play with us: get your stamps out (and we do like to see Stampotique stamps!), try out a new technique and join the fun on the Stampotique Designer challenge blog! Who knows, you might win the $30 gift certificate in Stampotiqe stamps!

Groetjes Frea

  2. Love the tag, gorgeous colors on it and I adore that sentiment you created-it's so true!!

  3. Love this tag!!! So stinking cute!!! I love how you used your stamp, the carousel as a window, love that idea!!! The tag is so bright and colorful as well, goes really great with your spread... which is beautiful as well, which is always beautiful!!! Good luck with becoming a design team member!!! Never have doubt in yourself, you're your own worst critic...

  4. Hi, France! I love your submission tag and the background in your journal! The rather subdued background makes the colors in the tag just pop off the page! I am so enjoying seeing the many uses of your brilliant carousel design. I can't imagine the Stampotique DT without you, so not to worry! ;-) I hope for a spot, too!

  5. Fingers crossed for you, France. I think you're a perfect fit for Stampotique too!

Groetjes, Gerrina

  7. Coucou France,

Awesome is the only way to describe your resubmission tag. It is perfect to complete your page and I'm sure Stampotique will be delighted to welcome you back with open arms, they probably just needed to see if you were 'still available' to create for them rather than having to 'qualify' again. If it I could vote for you I most certainly would 100 times over.
    Warmest best wishes,

  8. I love this France, it's gorgeous xx

  9. Good luck with your re-application - they would be foolish to let you go. I love the tag that finishes your journal page.

  10. Fabulous tags, and that opaque whitewash looks amazingly cool. Good luck with the application - I love your Stampotique makes, and I think they'd be silly to let you go!!
