I do miss you guys and i wanted to let you know where i've been, i'd like to tell you about my non scrapping life.
5 years ago, my husband and i decided to take the horses at home. I was a very assidious dressage rider and spend most of my life at the stables where my horses where. So, we sold our house, we searched a piece of land to build a new one where we would have enough space for meadows, stables, a paddock and everything else needed for horses. Little did we know, that in 2010 i would be the victim of a serious accident (not horse related though). Are plans were still on, but we had to reajust and take much more time than we thought we would have to.
Coucou!
Only this spring, we started with the meadows.
And this summer, we builded the stables.
Yesterday of all days, it was our 12th wedding anniversary, we brought the horses ... home.
I've been dreaming of this since i was a little girl.
At almost 41 years old, my childhood dream is now a reality.
I have two sons and these are my two girls: Flocon (on the left) is a 22 year old light spotted pinto. Valsa is an 11 year old Lusitano.
You know what they say: you get the horses you deserve. My girls are as serious as i am!
I hope to be back with some inky news soon.
Those stables look fabulous France. I'm so happy that you have got to live your dream. Enjoy it.

RépondreSupprimerThey are so lovely and I'm so happy that you could bring them home!
RépondreSupprimerWell done on fulfilling this part of your dream!
RépondreSupprimerYour girls are lovely. I sold my horse 3 weeks ago. We had him for 10 years and it has broken my heart, but my job now takes up too much of my time. It is so great to have them at home. We had ours at home for 3 years. You can go out and put rugs on and sun cream whenever you want! What will you do about riding? Do you have enough space at home, or will you have to ride to a manege?
RépondreSupprimeri'm still not able to ride since the accident. but one day my friend, one day i will get back on her back ;) and yep, we plan to have a riding space at home too. one day... lolll

Well worth the wait you had to endure to have something so beautiful and perfect for your horses. I have two horses as well, both Quarter horses. One is a nine year old mare and the other a 17 year old gelding who is now almost completely blind. They are a joy to me so I know what yours mean to you. Horses are not a past time....not for those who are serious about them. They are a way of life! Congratulation on this tangible dream ; )
RépondreSupprimerYour words move me because they're absolutely true: they are a way of life! I missed it so much not being able to take care of them and now i feel i can catch up by being more with them than necessary. Seeing them enjoy their new home makes it complete!
Supprimerthat is so awesome love the photos, what an awesome anniversary gift. if you don't mind me asking did you break your back was it a car accident?
RépondreSupprimerI hope you have an awesome day!!!n :0) smilz
i was crushed by a car as pedstrian. i broke a lot of things, but not my back. it's my hips, leg and foot that make riding impossible... for the moment anyway ;)
SupprimerYou are very lucky and it looks awesome! You can never give up on a dream! It can always happen!!!
RépondreSupprimerI am thrilled for you, France. As a young girl, I, too, wanted horse. But it was not a realistic dream for me. They are both beautiful mares. Congratulations on the family finally being together! Mwah!
RépondreSupprimerI am so happy for you. I rode when I was young. I have admired the Budwieser Clydesdales since I was small and now (Thanks to my neighbor) have the oportunity to ride one. Of couse I have no idea how this works. Maybe side saddle. Again I'm so happy for you.
RépondreSupprimerIt is gorgeous.I had a accident and have lived a very limited life but I still have my children and husband and not being active helps me find a great artist , like you, on the internet to try and copy! It all looks wonderful and you have many people who are so happy for you!
RépondreSupprimerEnjoy it all while the weather is good!
I'm so excited for you to have your dream come true. You truly are an amazing person who gives so much of your talent to us. I've learned so much from watching your videos and have just completed my second spread in my art journal. You really inspire me, congratulations!

RépondreSupprimerCoucou France,
RépondreSupprimerThank you sooo much for sharing these gorgeous photos of your gorgeous girls, they are beautiful, and it is wonderful to hear that you have been able to realise your childhood dream. The 'girls' must be soooo happy too in their new home. I love how Flocon managed to have the last laughtoo, by poking her tonge out as the camera went click. Elle est très marrant. I do hope that you can get to ride on these beauties one day soon.
Warmest best wishes,
Susanne
How wonderful that your childhood dream is slowing coming true! Wishing all the best for you in being able to ride again and many happy more years of marriage too! Your girls look lovely and quite happy in their beautiful new home! I know they will enjoy it as much as you will!!
RépondreSupprimerWhat a wonderful story France....proving that perservance pays off. First of all, it looks beautiful and tranquil and like a place you could spend hours and hours and not even now the time had changed. It makes me smile to think about you realizing your childhood dream-what a treat that is...and after all you have experienced I'm guessing you know that and can truly appreciate it. Enjoy your girls, your boys, and your husband. As my yoga instruction says: More being, less doing. I think there might be something to that. Sending hugs. Sara
