Art Journal: Dare!

Hey all!
As this is a bit stressing for me, i'll just throw myself in the game: today i'm daring myself!
Ever since the Scraptastic weekend, some things have changed in my scrap. I met the amazing Donna Downey, talked a lot with her and had two classes with her. As i told her, it was an epiphany to me. I even started an art journal... thing i always loved when others did it, thinking it was nothing for me. Right? Wrong!
It's a total let go scrapping and i love it. So today for the first time i'm showing you a page, called 'Dare'. And that's where it get's stressing, showing you a page of my art journal...

I first applied some resist on the paper, using gesso with a brush and a stamp. The page was colorised with distress inks (mustard seed, ripe persimmon and seedles preserves), glimmer mist (key lime, golden terracotta, peppermint stick, pashmina) and glimmer glam (paprika). The soft black drippage is done with glimmer glaze oil slick. I just love how the colors pop! The black circled spots are done with indian ink.

This is what i started with: a tattered angel chipboard, colorised with lots and lots of layers (key lime glimmer mist, glimmer glam dirty martini, vintage photo distress embossing powder, oil slick glimmer glaze).

I glued a page of an old book by melting beeswax on it. I wanted to play with the transparancy of it to make the words i wanted to see pop out of it.

That's it! If you're still reading this it means you didn't run away, lol. So, let me know what you think! Be back soon, meanwhile wishing you lots of creative moments!
